Staff Bio

Augustine Menke is an associate attorney with Wall, McLean & Gallagher, PLLP, where her practice focuses primarily on family law. She represents clients in matters involving dissolution of marriage, parenting and custody disputes, child support, property division, guardianships, adoptions, post-decree modifications, and other domestic relations matters.

Prior to joining Wall, McLean & Gallagher, Augustine served as a Law Clerk and Special Master for Montana’s Second Judicial District Court. Working closely with the district court provided her with valuable insight into judicial decision-making, litigation strategy, and courtroom procedure. That experience continues to shape her approach to representing clients and advocating effectively both inside and outside the courtroom.

Augustine earned her Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Political Science–International Relations and East Asian Studies from the University of Montana in 2017, where she received the University Scholar Distinction. She earned her Juris Doctor from the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana in 2020. During law school, she completed a judicial clinic with United States Magistrate Judge Kathleen L. DeSoto and served as a law clerk with the Office of Chief Counsel for the Federal Highway Administration in Washington, D.C.

Originally from Minnesota, Augustine moved to Missoula to attend the University of Montana and has since built her legal career in Montana.

In addition to her private practice, Augustine serves as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem in matters involving the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services. She also serves as the Guardian ad Litem for the Butte-Silver Bow Family Drug Court, where she represents the best interests of children participating in the program.

Augustine believes successful representation begins with understanding each client’s objectives and developing a thoughtful legal strategy to achieve them. She approaches every case with careful preparation and a commitment to practical, results-oriented advocacy, whether negotiating resolutions through mediation or litigating matters in the courtroom.
